Barrel shop Barrique was founded in the sixties of the last century. During the production of Barrique barrels we follow the oak path from the forest until the final barrel.

During the production of Barrique barrels we follow the oak path from the forest until the final barrel. The acquisition of raw materials and the processing we do by ourselves. In that way we guarantee that the staves have been produced from the top quality wood.

Each stave is sawn out from each trunk separately, and in that way the fiber construction remains undamaged giving us always a first class stave. The staves mature in open space for at least two to three years. The weather conditions, the constant temperature shifts, the wind, summer and winter precipitations, remove the contaminated matters and excess tannin.

During the production process we bend the staves by heating them up, and after that we heat them on the fire made out of the waste of the same wood. Treatment time, and the intensity of the flame shape the aromas in the wood which completes the character of the wine and brandy during the maturing process in the barrels. After being exposed to the fire the final barrel form is created. After grinding the final, galvanized hoops are placed. We deliver each barrel in a protective package.

AROMA OF THE SERBIAN OAK

The barrels of the barrel shop “BARRIQUE” – thanks to its dense fiber construction – contribute to the development of wine and brandy during the maturing process. The Serbian oak emphasizes the aromas of almonds, nuts and vanilla, it reveals the fruit flavors and besides the fact it gives strong character to wine and brandy, it establishes the balance between different aromas, it amplifies the long pleasant sweet glycerin elegant and at the same time mild additional flavors.
